E-Commerce has experienced a significant increase in the past decade, with an unprecedented amount of stores needing to go digital during the pandemic. With the rise of ghost kitchens on delivery apps, virtual brands and stores, and other online-only commerce, Marcato realized a new market. For many of our favorite Mom-and-Pop shops, going digital can be challenging or complex, which is why we built a unique service: digitalizing, onboarding, and constructing online stores on the internet and third-party delivery applications.

  • A new Mom-and-Pop virtual brand that sells delicious cookies is struggling with sales during the pandemic. Their cookies are great, however, they’re having trouble selling online through their virtual store.

They’ll need a website developed to legitimize their brand and enable them to digitalize their identity for brand expansion. Then they’ll be onboarded onto multiple delivery apps to expand their presence, which will require product management and branding. Finally, once the store is in operation, it will require significant marketing to popularize the brand.

  • Store Digitalization comes in multiple forms including onboarding and construction. It’s the act of taking an existing brand or creating a new brand with the capability of selling a deliverable product and building a route to sell online. Sales can either be made directly from the client’s website or through a third-party delivery app (etc. Uber Eats, DoorDash, eBay, Etsy, etc.)

    Services provided included:

    • Web Design & Development

    • Product Branding

    • Third-Party Integration

    • E-Commerce Establishment

  • A handful of the brands we have worked on are currently thriving online and have become popular stores in their local areas.

Our cookie brand (name disclosed for client privacy) is currently making ~$450k annually with a 4.9 rating from 650+ online reviews within the course of 2 years. The cookies are available online via the website and can also be ordered through Uber Eats, DoorDash, GrubHub, Postmates
